Growing Production – Near Term Organic Growth

Northern is poised to be a significant supplier of graphite to the EV revolution and widescale electrification. The Company is targeting near-term graphite production of 100,000 tonnes per year (tpy) via modular growth to de-risk each stage of development. Northern’s mines and projects have measured and indicated resources(1) containing 3.29 million tonnes of graphite in the ground in stable jurisdictions.

The Lac des Iles Mine

in Quebec has been producing graphite for over 30 years. It is North America’s only producing graphite mine with plans to ramp up to 25,000 tpy.

The Okanjande Mine

in Namibia, a past producing mine, is forecast to re-start in 2026, subject to financing, with Phase I capacity of 31,000 tpy over a 10-year mine life.

The Bissett Creek Project

in Ontario is near construction ready, targeting initial production of 44,000 tpy over a 23-year mine life.

All of our mines and projects contain battery grade graphite
and have modular expansion potential to grow even further
as demand for graphite increases.
