The Team
Our expert team of PhDs and developers bring extensive knowledge and experience in the development, production, and placement of carbon materials for batteries with a focus on lithium-Ion batteries. NGC Battery Materials Group will specialize in advanced material analytics and electrochemical characterization techniques for carbon and battery materials as well as providing in-depth expertise in the field of high temperature processing, scale-up and carbon design. This will enable Northern to provide tailored solutions to EV battery makers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to satisfy their various unique battery requirements.
The Lab
The NGCBM team works out of a state-of-the-art laboratory in Frankfurt and has the exclusive license to develop, produce, and sell Porocarb®, a patented and proprietary high-performance porous hard carbon material developed over the last 10 years and patented by Germany’s Heraeus Group to enhance the efficiency and speed of energy storage mechanisms.
Our state-of-the-art, Germany-based laboratory provides a wide range of advanced characterization techniques for carbon and battery materials. We specialize in electrochemical characterizations on a coin cell level and can provide a comprehensive set of chemical and physical characterization methods for battery materials.
